Description
Together Again! captures Billy OConnor and his reunited Torontobased ensemble in a 1964 studio session recorded at Bay Studios. OConnor, a longestablished figure in Canadian variety entertainment, blends Irish traditional medleys, novelty tunes, and light loungestyle arrangements, supported by piano, accordion, bass, and rhythm section.
The album reflects the atmosphere of OConnors longrunning club performances, with medleys stitched together in a revuestyle format. Arc Sound Ltd. issued the LP exclusively in Canada, consistent with the labels focus on domestic artists, regional performers, and varietyshowstyle recordings throughout the 1960s.
This release stands as a document of midcentury Canadian entertainment culture, capturing the blend of Irish repertoire, vaudeville humour, and supperclub musicianship that defined OConnors career.
