DJ CAM 8211 Underground Vibes (30th Anniversary Edition) 8211 LP 8211 Vinyl DEC 19

Description:

LP – Standard Edition Black Vinyl. Emerging from Paris\’s smoky mid-90s underground, DJ Cam\’s debut full-length carved out a space where jazz, hip-hop, and ambient minimalism could coexist in perfect equilibrium. Underground Vibes wasn\’t just a record – it was a manifesto for French trip-hop before the term had currency. With its languid swing and dusky loops, tracks like \’Mad Blunted Jazz\’ and \’Dieu Reconnaitra Les Siens\’ capture a late-night poise closer to Mo\’ Wax or early DJ Shadow than the brashness of boom bap. Cam\’s genius lies in restraint: dusty samples, faint vinyl crackle and beats that breathe. In this quiet tension between groove and introspection, he helped define an era of European downtempo cool.
