JEFF PARKER – The New Breed

Description:

Reissued with new liner notes and two bonus tracks, Jeff Parker's beat-focused 2016 solo album is a deeply personal reflection of his musical influences, from J Dilla to Thelonius Monk. Even now, Parker is still best known for his work on the Chicago scene, playing in bands like Tortoise, Isotope 217 and the Chicago Underground. And despite being one of the scene's most prolific artists, his work as a soloist, or at least with his name listed as the lead, has traditionally been harder to find.
