So Unknown, it sums up our band, says JESUS PIECE frontman Aaron Heard mulling over the title of the Philly metallic hardcore squads much anticipated second album. Everything about us has always been a very unknown situation. We didnt know what we were supposed to sound like, we didnt know who we were supposed to tour with, and thats stuck with us from the start. Were a very enigmatic band. Seven years into a career built on an uncompromising ethos and carefully crafted, brutal sounds, JESUS PIECE melds intelligence and aggression in a manner that doesnt just push the genres rigid boundaries. It sets the standard for the shape of hardcore to come. So Unknown is the sound of articulated brutality that defies categorization. Its 28 minutes of rage and introspection slammed into the red. From explosive opener In Constraints to the dissonant strains of Tunnel Vision to the caustic An Offering to The Night, JESUS PIECEs Century Media debut and their first full-length since 2018s landmark, Only Self has been worth the wait.
