Description:
After gifting fans their original On This Winters Night holiday album in 2012, GRAMMY-winning trio Lady A are back for a new season of sonic joy with On This Winters Night Vol. 2. Featuring a cozy-country mix of 11 sparkling singalongs, On This Winters Night Vol. 2 marks the first full holiday album from Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, and Dave Haywood in 13 years; a set split between instant-favorite originals, modern-take classics and timeless tradition. Wrapped in warm triple harmony, and decorated with a splash of frosty fun, the project will add some (cinnamon) spice to any holiday playlist. With their smooth fusion of country, rock and pop, Lady A is world renowned as one of the 21st centurys premier vocal groups boasting seven GRAMMY Awards, three consecutive years as both the CMA and ACM Vocal Group of the Year, and much more as proof. After breaking out with their record-setting 12X PLATINUM hit Need You Now (the highest certified song by any country group in history), 9 billion digital streams and 11 Number One singles followed plus a reputation for soul-stirring cheer. But with On This Winters Night Vol. 2, theres new magic under the tree. Produced by Nathan Chapman, Sam Ellis, and Dann Huff, the band perfect their mix of down-home soul and classic pop while decking the halls in heartfelt glee. Adding a subtle spark of fresh energy to many of your Christmastime favorites, reverent vocals meet forever-young excitement in the soft sonic shimmer of twinkling lights, with faithful spirit never far away. Kicking off with the invigorating rush of Lady As original Wouldnt Be Christmas, blissful standards such as Winter Wonderland take their place alongside the lush loneliness of George Michaels Last Christmas. Yet the jazzy What Christmas Means to Me bounds with anticipation toward another snow-blanketed season. The new collection features four tunes first found on On This Winters Night (Deluxe). Wonderful Christmastime mixes Paul McCartneys genius with orchestral power and new-wave pop, while Little Saint Nick lets the band indulge in Beach Boys-style harmony, and That Spirit Of Christmas captures the quiet comfort of togetherness. Meanwhile, the bands rootsy original Christmas Through Your Eyes celebrates the family-centric memories dear to any parent. Elsewhere, stirring collaborations with friends like Ricky Skaggs (on the original Why We Sing Noel) and Chris Tomlin (Silent Night) put the reason for the season in the spotlight, and O Holy Night rings in hallowed harmony.
